Can I use the worms I find in my garden my Vermi compost?

I just started Vermi compost. I'm trying to decide the worms to use because all the information I found online say they use the European night crawlers or red worm. There are some concerns on my behalf to the spread to use worms, since they are not (native and in the instance of red worms) and can have a negative impact on the environment in case of a rupture with them. I'd rather have worms in my garden because there is no difference in the ecosystem if, by chance, my flight back to court. I have read that is not recommended digging for worms in your garden, but I wonder if this is really a big problem or no particular reason to use the worms from their own garden.
