Composter = attract mice?

Compost will not attract vermin such as mice or rats? I started a compost pile and hope I build in the kind of structure. My husband is getting used to the idea but is concerned about the possibility of attracting unwanted animals. We many small contributions in our house, where guests could come in unwanted when they began to hang in the yard. Is it possible to have a composter, no pest problems? What is the best way to avoid all the composter to collect? Thank you!

Mice and other rodents may be a use of the compost pile to find the nest, if you has a heap on the floor. Considering move to wood pallets as the floor and put some mouse traps underneath, or do not like to have and use a barrel suspended on the ground with a frame. If all else fails, use remover nail polish .. lol.
