I found a huge rat in my garden (the four legged variety), what I can do to minimize them?

I had the bird and put that food suspended in a line, my composter has never them.I just put stuff in it, no damage, etc. I had never cooked an animal like a plant, think and animals have as much right to be there, like us, but I must admit, rats scare the doo doo out of me. Please do not eradicate poor response as interested in nothing hurts

Try to find out where nesting and working (perhaps under a shed) and disturb the nest so (and all their friends and family) move. You can then borrow a cat, the smell may be enough to eliminate it. I realize this is shifting the problem, but should be aware that the disease Weil and other vermin, rats take a risk to human health. | Council should be informed if you attack a Rat, but I think this may apply only in your home rats or apartment (shades of UB40). You need a source for drinking water – there are containers, which may be drinking to get rid of it?
