worm farming

What additives I can put in a worm farm?
I want to know what kind of additive I can put moss in a worm farm (the smell usual) peat. I want things that will not stick floor.
Uncooked raw vegetables such as cabbage leaves, lettuce leaves. No cooked vegetables, no fat. I know there's something you can buy, but I found that raw vegetables were the best and cheapest.

Wormery slugs I found a handful of large, yellow in mine. According to Wikipedia are Limax flavus. I understand that eat decomposing Matter, but I also said screw worms. I do not think these are the poor, but want to be sure before letting chomp away.
We always hear they are bad for your garden. Try beer in a small dish or bowl. They get drunk and drown

best compost bins

Today there are many glass of compost on the market. But what is the best urban compost tumbler? Part of the answer to how much you want to make compost and replace the plot size that is available to detect the trash. However, there is another very important point to take into account before making a purchase should be.
Compost tumbling is certainly a great design, but some people can fight against something if it starts to be quite comprehensive. It's a bit difficult to turn the drum again, there are a lot weight on it. This applies to vertical models, at least. I therefore believe that the horizontal models probably better for many people.
Some of us some manual labor as a couple of times a week. The vertical model is a bit of trouble for a minute or so a couple of times rotate each week. For some, this is a good way to ensure you do some exercise. For others, the effort is not needed and necessary. I always recommend the horizontal'm like my cup of choice. No There is no cost. It's just a mater easily confused by turning the handle of the content. As a horizontal drum has little or no effort to confuse the content a couple of times a week.
Keep this in mind when deciding what is best for you Urban Compost glass.
The best urban compost tumbler is the horizontal model. See the best tumbling composter post for more information.

What is your preference for trout fishing? live bait or lures? For this article, I mainly trout fishing in small streams with different 3 Types of live bait that the trout love it.
You see, I use lures as much as anyone else, but what if it is trout fishing, whether it a stream or spring fishing in a lake, I always use live bait lures.
Why? Because fishing with live bait is more natural. Living Baits are more likely to work as bait, probably because so when the trout in the morning and go to your favorite game quick for breakfast that is what normally eat, and you can get free bait when the power of crabs, lobsters in the field or go to dig their own worms.
They want to be prepared more than one type of bait, so if you are not working well, you're going to try a backup.
Earthworms – A large earthworm is about 2 inches long and works very well for trout stream can kill if you really are not as popular bait shops, Night Walkers, but engaged Some bait shops .. they want. This weekend I was doing some gardening and tons of earthworms found just below the grass, as I was digging my garden. Also you can find under rocks and dead logs. Nightwalkers will work, not so good, but it will work. If used for night walkers Cut a small piece of 1 / 2 "to 1" and use.
Crayfish – in early spring when the water is cold better use, small crabs about 1 cm long. Once the water warms and the trout are active are more likely to attack larger baits. If you can find soft-shell crabs, then just hit the jack pot. Trout love.
Grasshopper – are fun to use as bait. Make Increased trout, connect a grasshopper by the back door without any weight, so it floats in the eighth and a trout to the surface to come and nail it. How exciting what it is. If desired, you can personal locusts are likely to have to go to a pet store that are caught. Pet shops usually sell to feed reptiles.
These are just some common live baits to use for fishing for small trout streams. Other big live bait trout examined are: Caddis larvae, stone fly nymph (best used in summer, look under the rocks) ephemeral, minnows (use the whole year, especially brown trout, who eat more fish in general are older than them) and Hellgrammites (larvae Dobsonfly, best in spring and early summer is used).
Good luck and happy fishing.

making a compost

Many gardeners and farmers who have used the compound to sing this nutritious soil amendment. Many people are interested in trying his hand, but not sure what to do. Here are the facts on how to compost and what is involved in the process, if you choose your own, or just want to understand.
Compost material life is basically breaking. Through the control of different factors, can pass the most efficient manner possible. They speed, what happened random nature slow.
Plant and animal material is broken down by bacteria in the air and soil, most recently as a soil rich in nutrients, basically. By controlling the amount of moisture, heat, ventilation, and the relationship of material to control how fast things are broken.
Â
Start with the ingredients that go into a compost pile. Almost all animal and vegetable matter can be added with the exception of the dog, cat and human manure, poisons and diseases that may be harmful can hold.
Bacteria and other microbes that are the work of decomposition in the soil is desired, and compost. Something like this always must be added as a sort of principle.
The air must provide either active or passive. Without air, turn compost, viscous, rather than the reduction in falls.
The air can passively, guaranteeing products through the stack by the construction, so that added air space below, or by adding pipes, poles or plant matter, so that the air spaces.
Actively convert a battery also adds ventilation to help the cause to break down faster. You can do this by turning to a tool or a fork or a glass of compost. On Turning the drum containing the air, because bounces are within composted.
Moisture is important, too. The water should be added to a lot until like a damp sponge. This liquid such as urine or juice from the remains, tea, coffee, or pull.
Heat is, of course, built in a compost pile, due to material degradation. Gardeners in colder climates may be necessary to protect its interests in the cold by covering with hay bales or more leaves, so that the process did not stop completely.
You can be as active in composting, as you want. When ready, return the battery to be, may you have finished compost in eight months or less. If you turn it frequently or use a glass of water, can produce results within 2 weeks!
You can also often hands and let nature take its course. In this case, manure take about a year or a little more to finish.
Not much to it to make compost in question. Now that you know how to compost, you can decide how much effort, time and space that is ready to be put into it.
