Many people are using aerobic composting, often accomplished through the use of compost pile. But it is not only a form of fertilizer from your garden, kitchen waste gardening.
Are three basic ways to compost: aerobic, anaerobic and vermicomposting.
Aerobic Composting
There several ways to achieve aerobic composting, such as batteries, containers, garbage cans, drums and sheet composting. All these variations exist in aerobic composting only because it is effective.
Aerobic composting is a complex process. In short, the use of microorganisms, carbon and nitrogen in the plant to the same as food. These micro-organisms breathe oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide.
Aerobic degradation may generate much heat. If a battery is sufficiently large, could be a temperature as high as 170 degrees Fahrenheit, although it takes a certain set of circumstances that are rarely achieved.
A well-built compost pile can go from 0 degrees Celsius to work up to 170 degrees Fahrenheit. The heat from the microbes break down plant materials have been developed enough to make the lot of steam in the cold.
With a compost pile should not smell. If there is an odor, the pile should be turned on or off, materials such as meat or dairy products are not actually being in a compost pile.
Anaerobic composting
Anaerobic composting is rarely used by a gardener. completed until the decomposition is anaerobic composting creates a slimy, smelly mess.
Anaerobic composting is easy with the help of a cluster well packaged with a high moisture content, 40% can reach 75%. Can also be achieved by immersing the organic matter in water, this will help some of the odor problems. Assuage
This form composting does not generate enough heat to effectively kill pathogens and seed bad seed herbs. Rental of the battery for a year or have to sit in to kill most pathogens, weed seeds can survive longer than that.
In my opinion, is superior to aerobic composting anaerobically. No time that I would recommend anaerobic to aerobic composting.
Vermicomposting
Vermicomposting is a big word that means composting with worms. These are not earthworms in your yard average, are two different types of worms, Eisenia fetida and Lumbricus rubellus, commonly known as red worm, red worm, or any number of other names depending on who you talk to.
Vermicomposting is starting to do.
Get a tank, either a commercial worm bin, or you can build from plywood.
Add some beds, which is most often newspapers in a "wide strips or cardboard, cut into strips about 1" wide and drilled a 2 "3" long. Moisten bedding with water, only two or 3 drops of water dripping when a bunch of bruises.
Add to add a handful of garden soil grains some worms.
Now you can worms. They can be ordered through the Internet or a garden center you could ask for. The worms to pay in 2 or 3 days before any waste plant material.
Vermicomposting is a great way to compost kitchen scraps. An aerobic compost heap is not efficient, if you constantly new material in the heap, a worm bin is efficient if new material constantly.
A worm bin does not smell so few people in it to keep a kitchen cabinet when little space, or simply the convenience of adding kitchen waste.
This was only a short introduction to the different forms of payment. Some people can make it look composting for specific recipes on carbon and nitrogen relations complicated, really is not too complicated. Composting is a biological process more complicated, but to build a compost pile or worm bin is easy.
And composting is one of the best ways to build your garden soil, is still the basis for organic gardening. Can provide all the nutrients necessary steps to grow a garden large plant.

Is it okay to feed the chickens stinking / rotting / compound (along with other normal food and feed)?
We have a chicken farm much roaming space and a group of families – some bring their kitchen waste (different ages), chickens. We discuss what is / is not in order to give hens. It seems that not have been harmed by the compost are so far – and it looks like worms / seeds sprouting really enjoy the lazy Compost and a playground then chicken scratch. But it would be nice to know if anyone has had problems with the assassination, poisoning their chickens with rotten food. Thanks for the quick response. Just to clarify – Let's cut to feed chicken feed pellets and fruit, and mix in / oyster shells to include in your diet, so the compost is not their main source of nutrition. It is rather a pleasure to eat well, you can take over all or reject it.
My grandmother lived in a whole live show with a latrine etc had a small bucket in the kitchen, where toast, bread, biscuits, potato skins, without food without eating a whole tomato, pieces of plates, etc, and she chickens fed him daily. These "messages" do not eat the chicken was a lot different from behind the chicken was not allowed to see the pile, but only because that group was not in the pen with the chickens. If your notebook or credit outside their own production and knew what exactlly see nothing wrong with feeding birds your little man but would like to know about chickens and what they eat eagerly. The fact that it might be worse / bad food makes no difference. . . Chickens know what to eat or not. . . Possible damages would be the terms / insecticides, which could be exposed and cause toxins. (I would not allow a system as you describe Duck for me chicken.) I feed my chickens zero charge, crumbles and the layer of oyster shells, but their leftover food, fresh vegetables cut fruit or cubes. I do not care to waste food spicy foods or onions, because I'm not sure if more of their eggs, and change the flavor of the egg.

The use of compost fertilizer for organic vegetable garden is an excellent source of organic matter. barrels of compost and composting are easy to Garden Center to find. In fact, our municipal landfill center sells the best composter, which are of good size, can be recycled and covers animal testing not, leads, increased raccoons, coyotes, mice, or other pets more (our paths backyard into a ravine, and we have many animals enter our garden area).
Be sure to place the composter on solid ground with good drainage and grass-based (do not put on a rock). Try in an area where the sun every day – that accelerates the decomposition of waste. Browse spiders fall compost composting battery, which can accelerate quickly aerate compost and the reduction process.
What Put it in your compost? A mixture of brown and green:
- The best combination is four parts brown material like leaves, shredded newspaper (even the lint from the dryer!) A portion of green material, such as weeds, grass clippings and vegetable scraps, fruit peels and seeds.
- Try to mow or cut the material into small pieces for composting. The bay offers carbon-based materials and equipment supplies nitrogen-green – both are necessary for the degradation process.
- Try layer materials wet and dry composting to improve the decomposition. Even layer of material, about 6 inches from each layer of brown or green materials.
- Add a little soil on the organic matter will help the flies. Your compost materials have weekly, if possible off – the process needs air to function effectively.
- In addition, the compost should be moist (not too wet or dry). If too dry, add a little water. When too wet to air more often.
- Waste disposal plants such as corn stover, grass, plant waste such as leaves of radish, carrot, leaves, cucumber peel in a compost is a good way to reduce waste and improve the quality of compost for your garden.
- I also use I throw tea bags and coffee, the old flowers and eggshells in my compost bin. I tend not to stone fruits (such as peach and apricot pits), as it simply takes a long time to decompose.
Compost: How?
Composting takes time, at least two or three months in an efficient process. You can buy a compost activator in your local garden center to accelerate the process, but if you've followed the guidelines of the mixture of brown and green coating with no more than 6 inches for ventilation correctly and yet maintain the humidity of materials for the compost barrel in the ground or grass, and allows some Daily Sun get your compost does not require activation.
compost fertilizer helps to grow your garden will also help to dispose and recycle household and garden waste (reduce what you send to landfill local).

What do I do with my compost pile?
I bought a black composter and have the elements carbon and nitrogen necessary for her turn with a fork, once a week and adding a little water. My question is, what I can do with it? And how I can get what "finished" Compost and no class?
I batch process with my subscription. I invite you in layers and keep it moist … I also add, 16-16-16 fertilizer to give it a lot food. Turn the pile to get things out in the middle of cooking for a while. The dust is rich look dark, organic matter is the structure of an improvement soil. Helps soil retain water and sand helps shed light clay soil. The compost has nutritional value … However, the fertilizer really start to compost. I use a "vision" that sort of wire 1 / 2''Fechten for finished compost and remove larger pieces that must fall in the tray of another batch. The classifier is basically a box with a big screen. I have it in my wheelbarrow and a shovel of compost until the car is full or until the display is covered with bigger things. Mashed usually break the big things with a hammer shortly before the return of I'm in favor of another race. Mix layer 2 or 3 inches of this stuff in the top 18 inches of the garden bed and watch the plants grow. Be careful not to cut grass, which were collected after using batch herbs and food products in your subscription rate. Tomatoes and potatoes tend to shrink and die with compost with such ingredients. Wait tried one or two years after that the use of herbal extracts to reduce the risk of killing or taking plant toxins.

compost manufacturers are where you find them. You can use any of the people who make the compost, or the equipment they use.
At the local level be level, or commercial compost manufacturers generally large machines. You, as can simple as a bucket on a tractor, pick up the compost material and slowly glide on the edge of mixing it and stack it or she could be like compost rotator basically open-ended specialized tubes. The tube to about 5 degrees from the horizontal and material covered in the top row. The tube rotates slowly and the material is aerated and continuously beaten smaller. Moisture content is closely monitored and compost can be ready in less than five days.
In the most practical level tends housewives compost from one or more containers and hand tools exist to manipulate the materials. Some home gardeners start with a shredder either gasoline or electric balance, and material compound, as thin as possible. Others use a lawn mower to cut materials, especially the leaves fall, in size. Others do have only batteries and practice of microorganisms decomposing materials to reduce in size.
If compost is used, is a good number three, while possible, and certainly one of more than three compost. With three, one is used to collect materials. I tend to pile of wood chips brown material on the outside of the containers have a fork full of chips and throw a bucket of kitchen waste. A fourth would virtually'm here. Once I am one with the materials in a volume ratio of two parts brown to green on the one hand, which is then filled in the inclination to come. For these and the following expressions a fork, a rake and shovel are appropriate tools.
The holder must maintain a garden fork or a fork, preferably four or five preserved, while three pitch fork will work well. With this step, the material the top and sides to the center and bottom of the battery in the next compartment. Work under the battery. If you find a long materials such as stems Corn is easier to move when in smaller pieces. Cut down with a sharp knife or a hoe blade. How is the bottom of the pile to find the smallest materials, especially in later chips. It seems to sift their way to the stack moved. Rake in small piles and move with a snow shovel. A regular blade works, but less efficient.
Each turn of the stack, moves from one container to another during the first acts officers as a collector from the stack next. When all is said and done, the manufacturer of compost is the gardener out with some simple, nothing fancy needed.
