What kind of gardening books, which should they?

My mother has always really careful not available. Last year we tried but not much training. We are all organic foods, I thought we should garden to raise money to buy all production Save something. Do you know of good gardening books for beginners like my mother?

There was also a book called something like lasagna …… Gardening fun, but if you do not have access to things that is probably not feasible. Gardening for Dummies ………?? They also have to respond to the Master Gardeners, volunteers trained for (many) questions. That is their job.

Cut flowers will eventually wilt, it’s inevitable.To get the maximum out of your flowers however, there are a few different tips and tricks that will keep them looking their best for a lot longer than normal.

1.) Make sure the glass vasses you use are well cleaned. Plants generate bacteria and a whole host of other toxins so if the vase has been used to hold them previously, make sure you clean it out well

2.) If you are using your own flowers, pick them either in the early morning or in the evening. This will help the flowers survive as their body will be at it’s coolest. If you pick in the morning the flowers they will have their greatest store of food in the body and will be most fragrant

3.) For your own flowers, place them in a bucket of water up to their heads overnight to allow them to soak up as much as possible. This won’t be necessary for flowers that you have purchased as they will have already have gone through this process.

4.) When you cut the flower stems, cut at an angle to expose as much of the inner stem as possible. This will mean that more of the inner stem will be in contact with the water and this will allow for maximum up take for the flower.

5.) Place the flowers in maybe a nice crystal vase allowing the water about 3/4 of the way up the stem. Make sure you use a feed that has a biocide, and acidifier and sugar. The biocide will kill and bacteria or fungus, the acidifier helps the flower soak up water and the sugar provides the plant with food.

6.) Make sure you change the water every couple of days rather than just top it up. This will not only remove a good amount of the bacteria in the water but will also give the stem a fresh supply which helps it soak up more

7.) If the base of the stems get dirty or clogged up, take the flowers out and re-cut the stems a little further up.
